About the Church
At Church of Cupcakes, we are passionate about our award-winning cupcakes. In fact, we bake fresh to order in small batches using only organic, locally sourced products without artificial flavorings, colorings or preservatives. Our quality ingredients – natural cage-free eggs, organic butter and milk from pasture-raised cows, organic sugar and unbleached flour – deliver divine flavors. And we hand select all fruits and vegetables from small, local farms who refrain from toxic chemicals. Our process takes longer but the results are worth it. Imagine a fluffy, extra moist cupcake decorated with just the right balance of rich and creamy frosting. Sinfully delicious? Yes, it is. Delivery and catering service is available for your special occasion. Contact us today!
“I can't expect to be a change for the better, if I use ingredients that aren't at a higher level themselves.” - Porche Lovely, owner Church of Cupcakes
About Porche
What brings you joy? Porche (pronounced POR*chee) Lovely is on a mission to find out. Porche was born and raised in rural Nevada where her family spent a few years in and out of homelessness. Each year, her family planted and harvested a huge garden in order to survive – and Porche quickly learned the importance of making compost and growing organic fruits and vegetables. Porche went on to graduate from college and land a job working in corporate America. But she soon discovered this career path was not bringing her joy. Porche did some serious soul searching. She traveled to Boston and took an internship at Cooks Illustrated, a national magazine for cooking hobbyists. She was then selected for a job at Food Network’s Sugar Rush, a series that exposes the secrets of the world's greatest pastry chefs and chocolatiers. During this time, she had the chance to hone her skills and learn more about desserts than she ever thought possible.
Porche took a leap of faith and opened her own gourmet cupcake bakery in Denver. After seven years and a growing customer base, she switched to an online-only bakery. Although there is no longer a retail storefront, all cupcakes are baked fresh at a commercial kitchen located in central Denver. The ordering process is simple. Call or visit her website, order in advance and all will be right with the cupcake Gods. At the end of the day, Porche finds the most joy in the relationships she builds with her customers. She would like to use her story as an example of the kind of success one can overcome by determination and perseverance. “My motivation is to create positive change in the world through baked goods.” Based upon her raving reviews and glorious praises, her long-list of repeat customers and multiple cupcake awards, she has succeeded.
